Something is wrong with the corn crop this year.  A strain of madness is spreading.  Electrical wires sprout from people's skin.  Gods walk the earth.  The signs of impending apocalypse are everywhere and as a new ice age settles over the world, a girl named Eve sets out on a quest to destroy history.

What the press has said about David McGee's plays:

As a comedy [...] the play is without reproach. David McGee's writing is crisp, specific and clever. The individual gags are carefully constructed and expertly executed.  Daniel Kelley, May 19, 2007

Mare Cognitum is about faith and magic, and theatergoers who give in to either/or both will feel as if they've left this world for a time and flown to another.  Michael Criscuolo, August 16, 2008
