Collage:
Mi Identidad

created by Patty Montesi
production assistant: Taryn O'Bra

Wednesday 5/27-Sunday 5/31
Free!

Come participate in the interactive artwork, Collage: Mi Identidad, and contribute to the collage - FOR FREE!  This hands-on art installation will explore the binary cultural landmarks of the personal formation of a first generation Latino American identity.  Instead of adapting to American culture through the process of pure assimilation, first generation Latinos build an identity through the process of collaging cultures.   This means having café con leche and Cocoa Pebbles for breakfast, croquetas and macaroni and cheese for lunch, and both Pepsi Cola and Jarritos as options for beverages. Become a part of the exhibition, and add to the collage by incorporating your own story.  Write on the walls, play a game of dominos, and stay for the music and food!
